Data Centre Engineer — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Day to day duties include: Monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the physical infrastructure of data centres (power, cooling, cabling, and hardware). Performing server installations, racking, patching, and decommissioning of equipment. Responding to incidents, troubleshoot hardware/network issues, and ensure rapid resolution. Collaborating with infrastructure, networking, and support teams to ensure uptime and efficiency. Maintaining detailed records, asset inventories, and documentation. Supporting change management and perform scheduled maintenance with minimal disruption. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience in a Data Centre / IT infrastructure support role. Solid understanding of hardware (servers, storage, networking), cabling standards, and structured cabling. Comfortable working with tools and performing hands-on hardware tasks. Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and data centre standards. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
