Job description The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in both the product design and project delivery of the business. At the front-end, the role will be responsible for integrating Pixii technology into customer infrastructure, ensuring that we help our customers achieve project goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering, renewable energy, High voltage DC Battery systems automation, and control systems, be an RPEQ, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer will work in a hyper-growth environment and must be comfortable with high pace. In addition, the role will have good opportunities to influence and create results in the company's international growth. Responsibilities · Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications. · Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, switchboards and control panel layouts using relevant software tools. · Design and develop energy storage products using HVDC and LVDC batteries and inverters. · Design and develop hybrid renewable energy solutions, including solar, Batteries inverters and generators to provide completely offgrid solutions. · Consistently interface with the client and configure/integrate Pixii products to meet project goals. · Collaborate with project teams, providing technical expertise and support throughout the project life cycle. · Preform protection and ordination studies. · Perform electrical and control system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs as needed. · Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans for electrical and control systems, ensuring system performance meets project requirements. · Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user manuals. · Provide training and technical support to clients, end-users, and other team members as required. · Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to electrical engineering and control systems. · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Skills · Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail · Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory landscape · Commercial understanding and attitude · Good communication and collaboration skills · Process-oriented and able to establish and describe processes · In-depth Microsoft Office 365 competence · Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. · 5 years of experience in electrical and controls engineering, preferably within the renewable energy, oil & gas or mining or construction industries. · RPEQ registration in the field of Electrical Engineering · Held a senior position in electrical engineering in previous company · Strong knowledge of High voltage battery systems. · Strong Knowledge of generator integration, grid connections and protection Studies · Strong knowledge of NEM and operational requirements of battery systems. · Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools. · Experience with industry standards and regulations. · Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail. · Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. · Willingness to travel as required for project meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.
