As a Model Based System Engineer supporting the EMS team, you will work with the Engineering Processes and Practices Lead to develop, model and manage improvements on the BDA Engineering Management System. We are seeking a Model Based System Engineer to join our team and accelerate the implementation of digital engineering approaches to solve our customer's problems. This position is located in either Brisbane, Adelaide CBD, or Williamtown, Newcastle. Responsibilities * Collaborate with stakeholders to translate their needs into MBSE Enterprise Architecture models that define business processes and their implementation in tools * Define requirements for the implementation of processes in various tools * Perform concept exploration and trade studies to determine the best method of process implementation, considering lifecycle costs and productivity improvements * Perform developmental user testing to gather early feedback and manage associated risks * Develop model and API queries to present model data to stakeholders using web apps * Contribute to project plans, model configuration management plans, engineering management manuals About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Essential: * Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, Information Technology related fields or equivalent industry experience. * A background in systems engineering with a blend of architecture, design, and integration experience in complex defence technology programs * Skills and experience in MBSE and/ or enterprise architecture Desirable: * Experience in software development or web development, particularly in Java or related languages * Skills and experience in Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) * Experience using GIT Hub * A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry * Experience using a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management systems, or similar * Strong technical problem-solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
