Systems Engineer - Hybrid Infrastructure Mascot / Green Square area (close to airport & public transport) The role: We're after a hands-on Systems Engineer to take the reins of a hybrid IT environment. You'll troubleshoot, secure, and optimise a mix of servers, cloud services, and network gear while guiding local helpdesk staff. Your day-to-day: ✅ Diagnose & resolve complex server, system & network issues ✅ Manage & maintain Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune , Azure AD) ✅ Lead user onboarding/offboarding regular account audits ✅ Keep documentation sharp & current ✅ Apply server/security patches (after-hours roster) ✅ Monitor backups, security alerts & infrastructure health ✅ Maintain SCCM for image creation, patching & deployments ✅ Level 2 & 3 support for escalated helpdesk incidents ✅ Mentor Helpdesk team Tech stack you'll own: Windows Server (physical & Azure VMs) Microsoft 365 Intune Citrix Cloud ACSC Essential Eight compliance CrowdStrike / Mimecast / Netskope (bonus) Commvault Cloud backups (bonus) Fortinet firewalls & HPE switches Scripting/automation (PowerShell highly regarded) Your profile: ✔ 3 years in a similar SysAdmin or Infrastructure role ✔ Strong troubleshooting mindset ✔ Security-conscious, proactive, & documentation-driven ✔ Confident juggling BAU projects ✔ Strong communicator & team leader
