Sales Engineer — Rockhampton, Rockhampton Region

About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Field Applications Specialist to join their team in Gladstone, Mackay or Rockhampton QLD in a sales-focused role that will see you visiting key sites, including mines, quarries, and sugar factories across your designated territory. You’ll be a crucial part of their sales process, providing technical solutions to address challenges such as dust control and conveyor belt protection, ensuring clients’ operations run efficiently and safely. This is an exciting, hands-on role that combines technical expertise with sales. When you're not on the road visiting clients, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home. You’ll be responsible for generating your own quotes, managing relationships with both new and existing customers, and working with internal teams to deliver effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct site visits to mines, quarries, and sugar factories to provide tailored technical solutions Identify and resolve operational challenges, such as dust control and conveyor belt protection, with the client’s needs in mind Generate quotes and manage your own sales pipeline Work independently and collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective solutions Report on sales activity and contribute to company growth and client satisfaction What We’re Looking For: Experience in the mining, quarrying, or bulk materials handling industries Strong technical understanding—experience working with conveyors and similar systems preferred Ability to work independently and manage your own territory Proficiency with Excel and other standard software tools Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients A background in mechanical engineering or a related field would be highly advantageous (but not essential) Why Apply?
