Working in a team of 7, you will supervise and manage the day-to-day operations as well as support the team to achieve our purpose. Some of the responsibilities include: - Preparation of the daily work schedules inclusive of repair and maintenance requests for all engineering colleagues ensuring that tasks are completed in an efficient manner - Effectively plan and implement a preventative maintenance program - Monitor implementation of all energy conservation procedures and report any irregularities and non-compliance to the General Manager - Coordinate & manage all engineering projects and contractors - Ensure all plant & equipment including life & safety is maintained and proper records kept in line with safety requirements - Ensure the team has the appropriate training they need to complete tasks in line with health & safety regulations - Lead the team through Hyatt's purpose of care, values and leadership expectations Qualifications: - A Mechanical / Electrical Trade or Engineering qualification - Similar experience working in a similar role. Hotel experience will be highly regarded - Excellent knowledge in plant maintenance, building services, OH&S and emergency procedures - A strong focus on ensuring all hazardous work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate, lead, train, guide and direct staff Join us at Hyatt and make travel more human.
