About the Role Reporting to the Head of Technical Performance, this collaborative and supportive role is responsible for providing technical and engineering solutions along with business improvement outcomes for our operations in Australia and overseas. This is a Fly-in-Fly-out role that requires travel within Australia. Why Barminco? • Permanent full-time position • Competitive remuneration packages with annual salary reviews • Employee benefits and discounts • Opportunities for career development across multiple operating businesses • Referral program • Excellent company culture Key Accountabilities: • Act in the best interests of Perenti Contract Mining, by working within legislation that underpins the company’s operation • Ensure that decisions are based on the achievement of Perenti Contract Mining’s objectives. • Ensure conduct which is consistent with Perenti Contract Mining’s values, policies, systems, procedures and statutory requirements. • Ensuring a safe working environment with a commitment to zero harm. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. • Drive a continuous improvement culture focused on technical effectiveness and operational excellence. • Coach and mentor both client and/or Perenti Technical Services Group members • Advise on underground mine design, drill and blast, ventilation, scheduling and operational optimisations. • Continuously identify opportunities to promote safety at our sites Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering (or the equivalent) • Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers (FCMM) Certificate of Competency will be highly regarded. • 2 Years completion of underground time required. • Post Graduate Mine Design, Scheduling and Drill and Blast experience will be highly regarded. • Technical report writing skills. • Effective verbal and written communication. • Deswik software experience essential.
