OUR CLIENT My client is an established award-winning engineering consultancy who have grown from strength to strength over the decades with offices all over Australia and internationally. They have been at the forefront of sustainable design and work across various sectors. With an optimistic outlook in their Melbourne office, they are looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer. THE ROLE Support timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical and regulatory standards; Establishing effective stakeholder relationships internally with colleagues and senior members of the business; Have the opportunity to act as Project Lead on small projects; Support associate engineers and project leaders with quality structural engineering solutions; Help lead a team of about 8 when the AD is absent ABOUT YOU MUST HAVE PERMANENT WORK RIGHTS IN AUSTRALIA MUST HAVE LOCAL CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE Bachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Civil/ Structural Engineering) Minimum 5 years experience on Australian building structures engineering projects; Exposure across a range of building sectors, e.g., education, commercial, industrial; Track record of collaborating effectively with colleagues intra/cross-discipline on projects; Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; Expertise with post-tensioned (PT) design, concrete, timber Understanding of ETABS, BIM, NavisWorks and Revit Structure (advantageous).
