About the Role: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership in the operation and optimisation of mechanical systems across a hyperscale data centre environment. The role is hands-on and advisory, focused on ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the operation and performance of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, CRAC units, and mechanical infrastructure Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and recommend performance enhancements Support the development of standard operating procedures and technical documentation Act as a key technical stakeholder in system upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance Collaborate closely with facilities, project, and vendor teams to deliver reliable operations Requirements: Advanced qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field Solid experience with mechanical infrastructure in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres, hospitals, or commercial buildings) Strong understanding of HVAC design, maintenance, and operational principles Ability to interpret technical drawings and assess performance data. Comfortable working in a technically complex and fast-moving operational setting
