We're seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of secure, scalable Azure cloud solutions across a hybrid environment. This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps - ideal for someone who thrives on driving operational excellence and modernisation in large-scale environments. About the role Architect and implement cloud-first infrastructure leveraging Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. Continuously improve infrastructure performance, stability, and cost-efficiency. Harden cloud environments by applying best-practice security controls and aligning with government compliance standards. Automate deployment and configuration management using Bicep, PowerShell, DSC, and Azure DevOps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including architecture, ops, and external vendors - to deliver mission-critical platforms. Actively monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure high availability and resilience. Tech Stack & Tooling Azure hybrid infrastructure: compute, storage, networking Automation: PowerShell, Bicep, Desired State Configuration (DSC) DevOps: Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Code, Git for source control About you 5 years' experience delivering Azure cloud and hybrid ICT environments in complex, regulated organisations (ideally within Federal Government). Hands-on expertise with infrastructure automation, DevOps pipelines, and infrastructure as code. Strong understanding of enterprise security, networking, and governance in cloud settings. Baseline AGSVA clearance (or ability to obtain it). Australian Citizenship - non-negotiable for this one due to clearance requirements. Work Model Hybrid: Expectation of 3 days onsite (Wednesdays and Thursdays are key in-office days), 2 days remote. Up to 40 hours per week During onboarding, full-time in-office attendance may be required.
