Senior Project Engineer - Pavements — Sydney, Sydney Region

ConsultANZ is looking for a Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in pavements and roadworks to join a prominent national contractor in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage significant civil infrastructure projects with a leading player in the industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee pavement and surfacing projects across Sydney’s major infrastructure developments. Lead and mentor a team of skilled professionals to deliver successful project outcomes. Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from large-scale to smaller, specialized works. Plan, allocate, and manage labour and plant resources for optimum efficiency. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Ensure all projects are in strict compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor, control, and report on project budgets, costs, and progress. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE: 6–8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on pavements and roadworks. A degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification. Proven experience managing complex pavement projects, including supervising on-site activities. Prior experience with reputable construction, asphalting, or surfacing companies. Deep knowledge of various pavement types, asphalting processes, material estimation, quality control, and testing. A hands-on, practical approach to solving technical challenges with strong communication skills.
