The Gig An excellent opportunity has become available for a technically capable, detail-focused, and delivery-minded Civil Site Engineer to join the team on a landmark project. Backed by local and state governments, this high-profile development blends circular economy innovation with lasting community legacy - Delivering major earthworks, drainage, utilities, and a state-of-the-art resource recovery facility alongside expansive new parklands for the Sutherland Shire. Reporting to a Senior Engineer and working full-time on site, you’ll help coordinate daily civil works—interpreting technical drawings, tracking progress, managing documentation, and supporting QA and compliance across multiple work fronts. You’ll be across the detail, monitoring subcontractor progress, checking works against scope, coordinating deliveries, and feeding updates into site reporting systems to keep things moving and the program on track. You will be trusted with: Supporting project documentation, scopes, and ITP preparation Monitoring and reporting on daily site activities and productivity Coordinating materials and subcontractors to support timely delivery Interpreting technical drawings and translating them into practical site execution Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards Working closely with site supervisors to identify issues early and resolve them effectively Assisting in QA checks, inspections, and defect management Maintaining clear progress tracking, reporting, and documentation Contributing to sustainability targets through waste reduction and efficient resource use What’s In Your Toolbox? 1 - 3 years' experience in civil construction, ideally with earthworks or drainage Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Experience on infrastructure projects over $10M Ability to read and interpret plans, scopes, and technical drawings White Card and Class C Driver’s Licence Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset You’re a hands-on engineer with a strong work ethic, clear communication, and a focus on safe, efficient delivery.
