The Gig A key role is has become available for a proactive, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused Civil Project Engineer to join the team on a landmark community and recycling project in Kurnell. Backed by local and state governments, this high-value development includes extensive parklands, major earthworks, utilities, drainage, and the construction of a state-of-the-art resource recovery facility. Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer and based full-time on site, you’ll ply your trade with a hands on approach coordinating site works, interpreting technical plans, tracking progress, and ensuring the delivery program stays on time and to standard. You’ll liaise closely with subcontractors, site teams, and stakeholders to solve challenges and keep quality, safety, and environmental compliance front of mind. You will be trusted with: Preparing and maintaining project scopes, programs, and documentation Planning and coordinating daily civil works, including bulk earthworks, drainage, and utilities Interpreting technical drawings and translating designs into practical site delivery Monitoring subcontractor performance to ensure progress, safety, and quality compliance Tracking site progress and maintaining accurate records and reporting Supporting QA processes including ITPs, inspections, and managing non-conformances Assisting with cost tracking, variation identification, and reporting to senior engineers Coordinating procurement schedules and ensuring timely delivery of materials Proactively solving site issues with input from supervisors and engineering teams Promoting environmental best practice and circular economy principles across site activities What’s In Your Toolbox? A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering 5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure, ideally with exposure to large-scale earthworks packages Proven experience delivering on projects valued over $10M Strong understanding of project programming, QA processes, and subcontractor coordination Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site documentation confidently Current NSW White Card and Class C Driver’s License You’re a confident communicator with a practical mindset and a sharp eye for detail.
