Our client is currently seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to join their high-performance technology team and contribute to the design and development of custom hardware solutions that accelerate financial data processing. Role Overview: As an FPGA Engineer, you will be instrumental in building hardware-accelerated pipelines that support low-latency trading and data feed handling. You'll work on everything from architectural design to deployment, working closely with software engineers and quants to deliver end-to-end solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize FPGA-based hardware accelerators for real-time financial applications. Implement ultra-low latency market data parsers, order entry, and risk filters in hardware. Integrate FPGA modules with network and PCIe interfaces. Collaborate with software and infrastructure teams for seamless system integration. Support testing, verification, and performance tuning in live and simulated environments. Keep current with the latest trends in FPGA design and financial systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 2 years of FPGA development experience (Xilinx or Intel). Proficient in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog. Experience with tools such as Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim, or Questa. Solid grasp of hardware debugging, timing closure, and synthesis. Familiarity with high-speed I/O: PCIe, Ethernet (10G/25G), DDR. Strong interest in finance, low-latency systems, or algorithmic trading.
