You will ensure compliance, safety, and high-quality construction outcomes while balancing technical design review, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Your new role As an External Works Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team, collaborating with developers, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver innovative road and infrastructure solutions. Your expertise will shape arterial roads, intersections, traffic signals, and safety barriers, ensuring they meet standards for compliance, functionality, and long-term sustainability. Assess and review third-party road and bridge work designs, providing expert technical feedback. Ensure road and bridge construction aligns with organisations standards, overseeing quality control and safety measures. Monitor project progress, both financially and physically, ensuring milestones are met. Identify and mitigate project risks, including safety, technical, and regulatory concerns. Engage with developers, contractors, and internal teams, balancing project requirements and stakeholder interests What you'll need to succeed Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 5 years of experience in construction or project management.
