Senior Full Stack Engineer — The Rocks, Sydney

My client is on a mission to transform the way clinics across Australia handle patient communications. Their intelligent automation platform helps healthcare providers manage phone-based workflows-answering calls, booking appointments, handling referrals, and engaging patients in over 30 languages . This is reducing admin burden, lowering wait times, and making quality care more accessible. Now, they're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join them at the ground level and help shape the future of healthtech. What you'll be doing: Own the development of new customer-facing features end-to-end Design and implement API integrations with 3rd party services that balance extensibility, usability, and long-term maintenance Build efficient and reusable frontend solutions using TypeScript and React Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user problems and create cutting-edge solutions Proactively work with other team members to understand user challenges and design solutions that address them Improve app runtime performance to ensure seamless, high-quality voice interactions Write high-quality code that scales with our rapidly growing user base Requirements: At least 6 years of relevant engineering experience at product-driven companies. Firmly grounded in computer science and engineering fundamentals (e.g. data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns) to make pragmatic design decisions that balance technical excellence with business needs to deliver the optimal solution. Are proficient with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern web technologies. Have experience with backend development (Next.js is used) Are familiar with cloud infrastructure and services like Vercel Bonus Points: If you have a background in early stage startups, especially in high ownership roles. Experience working with AI platforms like OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, or AWS AI This role is Sydney based with flexible working arrangements.
