Job Description We're seeking a skilled and client-focused Engineer with specialised Nginx expertise to step into a dynamic, client-facing role. As our Nginx-focused Engineer, you'll be instrumental in the entire lifecycle of infrastructure services that underpin cutting-edge digital applications. From initial client engagement and solution design for PPC migration and beyond, to deploying and maintaining scalable systems with Angular, Nginx, and Node.js, your work will directly ensure the reliability and efficiency of our clients' digital services. You'll champion modern deployment practices, automating migration workflows for Angular applications with Python and GitLab, and thrive in translating complex client needs into tangible, high-performing technical realities within a fast-paced, consultative setting. This role extends beyond pure technical execution; you'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, collaborating closely to define requirements, deliver projects on time and to exceptional quality standards, and empower their teams through comprehensive documentation, training, and mentorship. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance post-migration and uphold rigorous security and compliance standards, solidifying NCS Australia's commitment to client satisfaction and technological excellence. If you're ready to combine your deep technical skills with a passion for client enablement and project leadership, we want to hear from you Qualifications Proven experience as a Engineer with a strong focus on infrastructure, deployment, and operations, particularly within a technology consultancy or client-facing environment. Strong hands-on experience with Nginx (installation, configuration, customisation, maintenance). Proficiency in Angular , including recent experience with Angular 18 . Solid understanding and practical experience with Node.js (specifically version 20) . Scripting and automation skills using Python . Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control using GitLab . Knowledge of configuration management tools, preferably Ansible . Demonstrated experience in migrating Angular applications. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong stakeholder management skills and a consultative approach to problem-solving. A commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and compliant infrastructure solutions that meet client business objectives for their software. Experience working on large-scale migration projects for multiple clients. Broad understanding of physical, virtual, networking, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) concepts as they relate to application hosting and delivery. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Nginx, Angular, Cloud platforms, ITIL).
