We are seeking an experienced Senior Endpoint Environment Engineer. Swinburne University of Technology is looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join our Information Technology team to play a key role in managing and maintaining our Managed Operating Environments across both physical and virtual endpoints. In this pivotal role, you’ll focus on modern endpoint management, ensuring that user configurations are purpose-built, secure, and aligned with client needs—all while delivering exceptional customer service. As a senior technical expert, you’ll provide 3rd level support, tackle complex technical challenges, and mentor team members to drive high-quality outcomes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and secure IT operations that support the university’s strategic goals. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: • Responsible for providing a high level of service to the customers of Swinburne IT; liaise with senior staff and key stakeholders where necessary, ensuring the effective resolution of service issues as they arise, including hands on involvement in investigation or an issue and leading other staff for an appropriate resolution. • Lead process improvements relating to MEE, developing a process uplift roadmap and deliver against university`s Key Performance Areas (KPA). • Contribute to the design and manage the development and maintenance of the Swinburne Managed Operating Environment (MOE) for over 10,000 endpoints. • Manage the deployment of software applications across all campuses • Report any observed systems, network, or infrastructure service disruptions as they occur and implement or coordinate a resolution and report the incident to the IT Service Centre. • Lead, develop, and implement education programs and initiatives that will inform teams how to carry out updated or new processes. Manage the deployment of antivirus software, software patches and updates, ensuring that all endpoints in the Swinburne environment are appropriately patched. • Provide expert technical advice and assistance to staff as required.
