As a Field Sales Engineer, you will effectively manage, promote and grow the sales of specific Rosemount products and services within nominated Customer Segments in the QLD/PNG region. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: - Pro-actively build and maintain effective business relationships with nominated customer segments operating within the region. Provide a high level of customer contact via predominately face to face as well as phone, email, video, and other digital media - Work with the Sales Support, Customer Care & MANZAT teams to provide quotations for products. - Follow up on quotations and win orders. - Generate new opportunities through customer dialog and demand creation activities (presentations, integrated marketing, industry events, social media, etc.) - Proactively research and develop business plans to grow sales and services in the nominated customer segment - Conduct analysis and research to gain a full understanding of the customer base and keep abreast of any changes to the market, competitors, technology and the industry in general - Develop and implement sales plans for the nominated customers and industries in the region. Review, evaluate and report on sales activities and initiatives - Ensure there is a strong brand awareness within the nominated customer segment through marketing, advertising and demand creation activities - Utilise CRM, Outlook, Toolkit and other supporting infrastructure and business processes as directed - Identify and escalate opportunities to sell other Rosemount or Emerson products. Take details and forward to the appropriate Sales team members Who You Are: You readily act on challenges, without unnecessary planning. Takes a proactive approach to craft and influence customer expectations and maintains a positive attitude and forward-thinking approach despite troubling circumstances or setbacks. For This Role You Will Need: - Tertiary qualified in an engineering related discipline - Proven sales experience in the process control industry (Field or Inside sales) - Experience and understanding of sales budgeting and forecasting processes - Experience interfacing with business systems (CRM, Office, Oracle, etc.) - Understanding the technical aspects of the business and key business drivers Preferred Qualification that Set You Apart: - Rosemount product experience (or other brands of similar products) Our Offer to You: By joining Emerson, you will be given the opportunity to make a difference through the work you do.
