Security Clearance Required for this role: Must have a Current NV1 security clearance. Must be an Australian Citizen This will be an Office based role in Canberra. ITAR - You will be required to comply with the US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) as the candidate may need to handle export-controlled ICT (hardware and software) products. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute detailed project plans for Navy platforms, ensuring alignment with key stakeholder requirements. Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with stakeholders, including NSG-SPO, ISSC, NI&IWB, and more. Facilitate the approval process for Request for Problem Resolution (RPR) and support project deployment planning. Collaborate closely with Installation and Engineering Managers to meet project timelines and deliverables. Identify and mitigate engineering risks while providing strategic, specialist advice. Develop engineering control processes and project documentation. Prepare and manage project costs, including conducting due diligence on contractor quotes. Must have Required Skills and Experience: Essential: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification. Essential: Proven experience as a Systems Engineer within Defence, particularly with Navy Platforms. Essential: Familiarity with Navy AD514 Engineering processes. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Experience in planning and executing technical project delivery. Desirable Skills: Previous experience in the Defence Maritime Environment. Knowledge of Defence Capability Lifecycle Projects. Experience with SEA2273 and working with Ship Class SPOs and ISSCs. Background in Military, APS, or Defence contracting.
