Job Description Seeking a Cyber Security Systems Engineer with e xperience configuring and maintaining cyber security tooling (including SIEM, EDR) and IaaS hosted services Job details Seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Systems Engineer to contribute to the successful delivery of cyber security systems that support the departments security requirements. The specialist will be required to deliver on, but not limited to, the following types of tasks: System Readiness and Availability : Ensure security systems are prepared, available, and capable of meeting user requirements. Secure System Configuration : Configure systems securely, including but not limited to: Following the principle of least privilege. Adhering to vendor and industry best practices in system configuration. Complying with security requirements outlined in the ISM and Essential 8. Key duties and responsibilities Documentation Maintenance : Maintain documentation for both new and existing systems. System Maintenance and Upgrades : Perform system maintenance and upgrades, ensuring sufficient testing and user notification prior to commencement. Process Automation : Develop automations to streamline repetitive processes where possible. System Analysis and Troubleshooting : Provide support to Cyber Security Operations to maintain and improve security and user experience on internally managed tools and systems. Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with stakeholders within the division including system owners and project managers to enable security outcomes including log on boarding and systems integrations. Contract: 12 Months Contract with 2 x 12 months contract extension. Security Required: Must have ability to obtain NV1 OR NV1 Security Clearance is desirable. Location Canberra based .
