The Role BG&E’s Materials team is responsible for providing technical advice for construction material selection, assessment and durability for a range of structural engineering projects. Due to continued growth and the award of exciting new projects, a permanent full-time opportunity exists in our Perth office. Key Accountabilities: Undertake condition assessments of structures consisting of concrete, steel and other materials. Undertake site inspections and prepare inspection reports. Prepare remedial specifications that include advice of material type and selection. Develop durability plans for major infrastructure projects. Assess and determine environmental exposure classes for concrete and steel elements. Design coordination with wider project teams and other disciplines. Develop fee proposals and assist with submissions for structural and multidisciplinary projects. Assist with project management of projects. About you You'll have a strong technical foundation in Materials / Civil / Structural engineering and a desire to contribute to a specialist local and national materials team where you'll demonstrate: Tertiary qualifications in Materials/Structural/Civil Engineering. 3 years relevant post graduate experience. Practical experience in materials assessment, selection and inspection within a range of structures and environments. Excellent inter-personal skills and a willingness to learn.
