The Opportunity CSL is looking for a Plant Engineer to join Building and Operations Services department at our Melbourne site. Reporting to the Technical Services Lead - Building operations and services, you will assist in the coordination, development and overall operational readiness for the engineering function within new CSL Melbourne, with a specific focus on process (e.g., WFI, Pure Steam, Lab Grade Water, Lab HVAC etc.) and building utilities (e.g., Plant Steam, Boilers, Office HVAC etc.). The Role Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems of facility plant and building utilities Support plant shutdowns, start-ups and maintenance interventions for plant and building utilities Ensure system and equipment data is current within the Asset Management system Lead in the response and close-out of utility and equipment-related non-conformance & deviations Review and generation of technical diagrams for processes within the CSL Melbourne site Respond to in-hours and out-of-hours alarm calls Generation of operational readiness documentation - including terms of reference, risk assessments etc. Preparation of criticality assessments, spare part procurement and maintenance planning for process and building utilities Coordination of subject matter expertise in regard to R&D and building utility requirements Be a key client contact between R&D and Global Engineering / Broadmeadows Engineering departments for the project Ensure that manufacturing environments and process utilities adhere to cGMP and cleanroom principles Ensure high safety standards within the areas of responsibility are taken into account and adhered to as governed by local, state and federal regulations, laws and policies as well as CSL's policies and directives. Your Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering 5 years of experience in plant operations Understanding of R&D operations, facility design and maintenance Knowledge of complex engineering systems - e.g. HVAC, WFI and PFS Knowledge of shutdown planning, asset criticality, preventative maintenance planning and spare parts ordering Understanding of various regulatory guidance such as FDA, TGA and OGTR Knowledge and experience in validation and quality systems Knowledge on computerised process control and automation systems (e.g. Siemens PCS7) Experience in clean room design and practise is preferred NOTE - Working hour flexibility with a requirement for periods of overtime/weekend work.
