Urgently seeking multiple ITS Engineers to assist us with multiple major new projects working alongside Main Roads WA. Immediate starts available The ITS Engineer will hold a pivotal position within our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) strategy, serving as a driving force for technological excellence and innovation in the ITS domain. You will have responsibility for overseeing all ITS-related activities, encompassing contract awarding, tendering, design, and verification across various opportunities for our main roads projects. To excel in this role, the ITS Engineer must showcase extensive experience and strong leadership skills, enabling them to effectively support projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from positioning and tendering to design, delivery, commissioning, and final implementation. Requirements: Advanced computer abilities, including Microsoft Office competency. Work hard and develop relationships with other team members. Knowledge and experience with both legacy and developing transportation technologies. Tendering experience with rate schedules and lump sum contracts. Prior experience in the transportation technology business is preferred Certification in Electrical/Civil Engineering or an equivalent 3 years of experience as an ITS Engineer is prefered The ability to encourage and lead employees (including clients). Offer specialised technical advice and expertise to ITS projects, including design, construction, testing, and commissioning operations in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, information technology, software, and interfaces. Provide specialised guidance and conduct the development and upkeep of ITS and network standards and guidelines, including the documentation, implementation, and upkeep of standard testing and integration processes for all ITS field assets. Duties: Act as the ITS Subject Matter Expert, ensuring adherence to ITS standards in project tenders. Engage with clients to secure projects and contribute valuable knowledge of Managed Motorways and Freeway to Freeway intersections. Provide crucial support throughout projects, from compliance and traceability to peer reviews and handovers, fostering innovation in ITS. Lead and assist colleagues, identify value-add opportunities in tenders, and develop project plans and designs for improved solutions. Build and maintain effective external stakeholder relationships, communicate with clients and senior management, and manage project risks and opportunities for successful outcomes.
