Title: Systems Safety Engineer The Company Kellogg Brown and Root Pty Ltd (KBR) is a leading Government and Defence service provider. KBR in Australia has been involved in working with Defence for the last 20 years, and has developed a core competency in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management, training solutions and integrated logistic support and provides this expertise to support a wide range of exciting Defence projects and clients. The Role KBR's Land Domain team is currently seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to assist in the through-life support of a number of Defence capabilities and enablers. You will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team working with various stakeholders across the domain including CASG. The Systems Safety Engineer's responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Perform the System Safety design aspects of platform-related tasks in accordance with the planned schedule under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. Review and develop safety cases for new and existing capability and configuration changes. Familiarity with systems safety communication and can clearly articulate safety aspects and concerns to personnel of varying experience and professions within the organisation. Participate in all engineering related system review, progress reviews and interface control working groups. Participate in working groups related to Materiel System and/or Support System components subject to system safety analysis, design, development and implementation. Provide assistance with the certification of the Materiel and/or Support System in accordance with the applicable Defence technical regulatory framework. Provide engineering subject matter expertise as required. Identify and report on resource constraints, schedule conflicts and other detrimental factors and provide mitigation. Participate in Integrated Product Teams as appropriate. Foster an integrated team environment with all parties. Ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / Systems or a related discipline. Strong organisational, coordination and analytical skills. Strong client and staff engagement, relationship and communications skills. HOLD an active NV1 (or above) Defence Security Clearance (Essential).
