The Opportunity: We are expanding our team and are currently seeking a dynamic Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead diverse and challenging projects. As a key member of KBR's Water team, you will play a crucial role in our joint venture with John Holland, delivering complex infrastructure projects for Melbourne Water. This collaboration spans a decade, highlighting our commitment to continuous service and excellence in the field. This role offers a chance to advance your career by working on projects throughout the entire asset lifecycle. Who You Are: As a Principal Mechanical Engineer in our Water team, you bring extensive experience in water infrastructure projects, showcasing your proficiency in design practices for the water and wastewater industrial sectors. Your skills include the assessment of treatment plant conditions and mechanical structures. Key Qualifications and Experience: Hold an accredited Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Design experience with a strong understanding of industry standards, preferably the Melbourne Region Water Authority Design Standards (MRWA WSAA Standards). Proven ability to work in engineering and design modeling teams, managing projects within scope, budget, and schedule. Previous experience in a local engineering consultancy environment. Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility for accreditation.
