The Client: Fildes Manufacturing Pty Ltd is a printing and manufacturing business of quality self-adhesive labels, bags and other printed items, while diversifying into other related areas along the way. They are a medium sized enterprise that utilises many different types of numeric controlled machines for various tasks such as printing, rewinding, OLTR recording, plater maker, film printing and pre-press. These machines are connected to the user ends through ERP Seams systems, and is operated over a network of computer equipment and hardware. The Role: The position for hire is a Computer Network and Systems Engineer and will be for a full-time basis at $70,000 per annum, and will be based in Sandringham. The Responsibilities: Installing and configuring computer network and systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation Supporting and administering network equipment such as routers, proxy servers, switches, firewalls, DNS and DHCP Performing physical connectivity between the network devices using cables and connectors Liaising between Fildes Manufacturing and Seams System ERP software for the smooth flow of the production including troubleshooting Overseeing installation, configuration, maintaining of new networks, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices Collaborating with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational Checking and upgrading the configuration and requirements of the operating systems Reviewing and resolving audit log, security log, application log and system log Performing and assessing the backup of daily files Formulating techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data Devising and implementing efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects Assist with reports and data extractions Working in a team to enhance the workflow production, and communicate with relevant stakeholders Analyse & decide the all-IT infrastructure needs considering future enhancement and implementation. Responsible to design and implement firewall, IT security profiles, firewall security policies, DDoS policies, VPN policies, IPS policies and ensure core network security. Analyse and suggest further network enhancements and implement to ensure network performance at the optimal level The Requirements: More than 3 years of relevant professional experience in a corporate setting At least a Bachelor degree in IT or Computer Science Must have over 3 years' experience to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers Must have at least 3 years' experience with Seams systems ERP software Intermediate computer skills - predominantly in Windows XP/7, cloud software, working knowledge of database systems (SQL, Oracle), also backup and recovery databases and MS Office Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers High attention to detail and strong analytical skills Strong analytical skills and sound administration skills Quick to grasp new ideas and concepts Ability to work to tight deadlines and under immense pressure at times
