Description Key responsibilities: PLC System Configuration and Programming: Develop and configure PLC programs based on project requirements using software tools such as Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RSLogix, or similar. Optimize and fine-tune PLC code to ensure efficient and reliable system performance. Hardware Installation and Integration: Install, wire, and integrate PLC hardware components, including input/output modules, communication modules, and associated peripherals. Collaborate with the electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure proper installation and wiring of PLC components. Network Configuration and Communication Setup: Configure industrial communication networks (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP) to establish reliable communication between PLCs and other devices within the system. Set up network configurations, IP addresses, and network topologies for seamless data exchange and system integration. System Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of the PLC system to verify functionality, safety, and compliance with design specifications. Identify and troubleshoot any discrepancies, errors, or malfunctions in the PLC program and hardware, and implement necessary corrective actions. Commissioning and Start-Up: Lead the commissioning process to ensure the successful integration and operation of the PLC system within the overall industrial automation environment. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to conduct commissioning activities, functional tests, and performance evaluations. Profile Job Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field. Previous experience as a PLC Commissioning Engineer or in a similar role is essential. Familiarity with industrial automation systems, PLC programming, and control systems. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, etc.). Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and related software (e.g., Wonderware, WinCC, FactoryTalk, etc.). Understanding of electrical circuits, motor controls, and instrumentation. Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Proficient in commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems. Ability to perform system testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure functionality and performance meet project requirements. Skilled in identifying and resolving technical issues and system malfunctions efficiently and effectively. Job Offer What's on offer On offer is a competitive annual base salary between $90,000 - $110,000 11% superannuation annual bonus of $20,000 - $30,000.
