As the Optimisation Engineer you will reduce costs, waste and downtime through optimising processes, machinery management, and productivity. It is essential to bring prior experience identifying and implementing LEAN manufacturing principles to achieve tangible outcomes. Your role will include collaboration with stakeholders to solve technical production issues, improve maintenance schedules, as well as designing components for machinery enhancement. This role reports to the Plant Manager who has a wealth of knowledge of the industry and organisation. Our ideal candidate will be able to think outside the box whilst bringing a great eye for manufacturing optimisation. In addition, you will need: A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering Demonstrated experience in a similar role leading continuous improvement initiatives Knowledge of manufacturing operations relevant to metal fabrication is ideal Solid Microsoft Office and design software skills Exceptional communication skills to work with stakeholders at all levels Applications will be reviewed promptly.
