Due to recent growth Glascott Civil and Landscape are looking for a skilled Project / Site Engineer to join our capable and friendly team. This full-time permanent opportunity is based out of our office in Fyshwick and various sites throughout Canberra. At Glascott Landscape and Civil, we're passionate about creating beautiful spaces. Professional yet down-to-earth culture Support the creation of beautiful landscapes in your local area Free onsite parking Responsibilities include: This person is responsible for preparing preliminary budgets, cost estimates, and final bid scope/pricing proposals for various types of external construction projects, including: civil construction, concrete and landscape. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to; Prepare quantity take-offs and estimated costs of materials, labour, and use of equipment required to fulfil all provisions of the contract from simple to complex. Evaluate labour pricing/production for specific projects and/or locations; demonstrate proficiency in material, labour, subcontractors and equipment pricing for all trade disciplines. Assemble general conditions estimates for review by the Estimating Manager Manage job-specific estimating teams in the assembly and submission of bids. Review estimate assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal submission to Estimating Manager Consult with subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues. Ensure that all work items from scope review are included in estimate and that cost trail from bids to Bid Package Scope Analysis Worksheets to estimate is clear and correct. Review subcontractor and supplier bids for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable bids.
