Based out of Sydney Skills Training Centre near Sydney Airport, we are seeking Engineering Technical Type B1/B2 Training Instructors to deliver aircraft type training, both Theory and Practical on course (POC), as well as operational training including Technical and Non-Technical Training needs. Flexible working arrangements away from Sydney may be considered. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative, analytical and innovative. You will naturally be detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and research skills. You will need to be resourceful, have the ability work autonomously away from main base for extended periods of time and to be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation. Reporting to the Engineering Training Manager, day to day responsibilities will include: Delivery of Theory and Practical technical training needs to schedule Maintaining relevance/ currency of training materials Working closely with Technical Training management to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of training Ensuring all training reports are loaded into our Learning Management System (LMS) Provide Subject Matter Expert advice and support Implementing competency-based training assessments to measure performance / quality of training materials / programs To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience: Clearly demonstrable experience in aircraft technical type training delivery Certificate IV in Aeroskills, an equivalent or the ability to obtain the competencies associated with the Certificate IV CASA/EASA type licence on Airbus/Boeing aircraft is highly desirable A Minimum of Cert IV Training & Assessment or equivalent (essential) Highly developed computer skills Excellent customer service skills, capable of identifying customer needs Understanding and Knowledge of the Human Factors Framework (essential) Ability to work under pressure in a highly dynamic environment and effectively negotiate positive outcomes Professional work ethic that ensures the highest standards of training and training outcomes are maintained Flexibility in delivering training to align with operational requirements and deadlines Why Qantas?
