Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Confidential - Intelligence Agency Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary: Are you ready to be at the forefront of Australia's defense against espionage and cyber threats? Our client is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join their elite team in an intelligence agency dedicated to safeguarding Australia's national security. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure infrastructure and automation solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available DevOps solutions. - Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) for deployment, configuration, and management. - Continuously monitor, assess, and enhance system security to protect against cyber threats and espionage. - Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, ensuring compliance with national security standards. - Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and security-related issues in a timely manner. - Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support and incident response. - Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on cybersecurity and national security. - Strong understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). - Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). - Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, penetration testing, and incident response. - Familiarity with security frameworks and standards - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code. - Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system and security challenges. - Australian security clearances, including NV1 or NV2, with ability to obtain a TSPV clearance.
