We are seeking a subject matter expert who holds deep experience across Explosive Ordnance's to join our team responsible for the delivery of highly effective content which will be curated among our existing Learning and Development Team and distributed through professional development pathways for the next generation of explosive ordnance engineers. Who We Are Nova Systems are the only wholly Australian owned Major Service Providers (MSPs) supporting Defence's Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). We provide Australian sovereign capability to the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division (GWEODD) who look after the acquisition and sustainment of a broad range of Explosive Ordnance (EO) capabilities for the Australian Defence Force. GWEODD currently manages 38 acquisition projects and sustains over 1000 munition types (including 35 types of complex guided weapons). With the government announcements around increasing Sovereign Capability in Defence, we have an opportunity for enthusiastic explosive ordnance engineer to join our expanding team working on capability learning and development. About our Role: We are currently seeking a highly experienced Explosive Ordnance Engineer to join our team in a unique Permanent or Permanent part-time opportunity that will assist shaping our learning and development pathway curriculum with focus toward our Explosive Ordnance early career professionals. You will bring subject matter expertise to draft, review and shape content across several core elements required inclusive of engineering, explosive ordnance, and weaponry. In addition, as our principal content strategist, you will collaborate closely with our learning and development team whilst also being a mentor for new and aspiring explosive ordnance engineers. What you will be involved in: Lead content development for all learning content across Explosive Ordnance. Develop best-practice capability matrix to outline opportunity, skill gaps and development. Review and advise on learning curriculum across internal and external avenues to fill capability gaps. Provide existing and future early career engineers mentorship, advice, and guidance to enable an accelerated knowledge platform. Collaborate alongside our internal Learning & Development and People Partnering Team's to curate required content for Diploma level learning pathways to be delivered internally. Facilitate one on one or group training sessions where required What we would like from you: 15 years within a high-level explosive ordnance role. Engineering degree or higher qualifications Prior experience within roles like the below will be viewed favourably. ARMO (Armaments Engineering Officer), ATO (Ammunition Technical Officer) or WEEO (Weapons Explosives Engineering Officer) Highly proficient in the use of deployment, development, and sustainment of explosive ordnance. Prior experience within Learning and Development delivery will be viewed favourably.
