The Role As a Senior Production Engineer, you will provide technical support to maintain compliance and maximise the value of our Asset East (Condabri, Talinga & Orana ) fields in the Surat Basin, through well integrity management, well availability, production optimisation, bottomhole pressure management, well intervention planning and artificial lift system design. Align with the Well Integrity Management Plan and ensure all well integrity issues are escalated and addressed as per the WIMP Assist Asset East site and control room frontline operations with day-to-day subsurface issues Collaborate with teams including Field Operations, Drilling and Completions, Reservoir Engineering, Process Engineering, Brisbane Integrated Operations Centre, Health and Safety to meet the business demand and minimise production losses Identify and implement workover opportunities to improve Mean Time to Return (MTTR) and Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) including assisting in artificial lift failure diagnosis Analysing, improving and optimising well design in conjunction with peer reviews and after-action reviews to capture the lessons learned. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within subsurface production operations that assures production in the medium to long term for the Asset Strategic Plans. Provide input into workover budget planning, Production Optimisation and Well Reviews with the Well Performance Team and Reservoir Engineers Assess, rank, justify and implement production uplift and debottlenecking opportunities Utilise the Operations Excellence Team's process to progress these opportunities About you You have a strong team focus and have proven leadership qualities. You are sound communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with key members of a wide range of stakeholders and you can use your influencing skills to negotiate successful outcomes. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Petroleum or similar); Statutory certification to practice as engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) Expert knowledge and understanding of the technical and commercial aspects in the upstream oil & gas sectors including production analytics and trials Experience in front line site operations managing well availability with an understanding of CSG reservoir characteristics Experienced in Well performance technology / analysis Experience in the upstream oil/gas or resources sector Sound understanding of Health Safety and Environmental practices and well Integrity management For more information, please contact Bronwen Galpin - 0738670157, quote Requisition ID 85319 or apply now.
