Here, what you do matters. Job Overview: The Principal Operations Engineer takes responsibility for the FPU wet tow transportation scope, including all aspects of design, planning and execution from China to Australia. Travel to site as required. They also take responsibility for FPU mooring hook up scope including planning, analysis, procedures, management of towage and position keeping spreads, preparations, Constructability/HAZID reviews, rig up and execution. Travel to site as required during hook up operations and assist with Change Order work as required by Installation Manager. Essential Qualification and Education: Minimum 5 years of industry experience Bachelor of Engineering or Naval Architecture Familiar with offshore installation work, including mooring hook up and wet tow operations Offshore experience highly preferred Experience with relevant industry design codes including DNV. Familiar with onshore fabrication processes. Able to generate procedures, review design reports and drawings, plan and execute mobilisation and installation activities Experience of onshore/offshore logistics. LI-RH1 Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Promote McDermott and project HSE and Quality policies Liaise with project team Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Engineering representatives Develop detailed loadout, transport and installation procedures in accordance with McDermott and Project HSEQ requirements Report to Installation Manager and Operations Engineer scope progress, contingencies, scope slip/change, areas of focus and potential areas of concern in accordance with schedule and convergence planning set gates and impact on project risk profile and potential for optimization or degeneration Raise DIO's and review design reports from CSE functions Participate in SIT's either in or at Company locations as required Raise MR's for miscellaneous equipment, provide procurement support as required Supervise mobilization of marine vessels, barges, HLV's as required Prepare for and participate in Constructability and HAZID reviews Travel offshore during various offshore execution campaigns as required Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required Review interface documentation (internal and external) Work in conjunction with support functions such as Subcontracts, Planning, Accounts etc. Assist with as-built documentation close out Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time as required by project
