Description Primary Responsibilities: Spearhead the design, installation, and maintenance of automation and control systems, elevating operational efficiency. Work collaboratively with engineering and site teams to seamlessly integrate automation solutions into both new and existing projects. Program and configure PLCs, along with other control devices, to ensure optimal system performance. Investigate and resolve issues pertaining to automation and control systems, demonstrating a proactive troubleshooting approach. Forge partnerships with suppliers to secure essential components for the development of cutting-edge control systems. Fulfill maintenance-related functions as required, offering support for 24/7 production on-site and through telephone channels. Take charge of purchasing and inventory management for all electrical spare parts, ensuring operational continuity. Conduct thorough reviews and provide recommendations for new or revised electrical/automation critical spare parts. Implement and monitor PM schedules for electrical/automation/calibration replacements and checks as dictated by operational requirements. Coordinate, assign, plan, and supervise the activities of electrical personnel engaged in diverse projects, including effective contractor management. Contribute to the evolution of our CMMS system and maintain the integrity of data. Profile Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field or a trade qualification from an Electrical Apprenticeship and recognized Trade qualifications Requirements: Exemplify strong leadership and collaboration skills, fostering a cohesive and productive team environment. Bring hands-on experience with specific Systems and Equipment such as Allen Bradley PLC Programming, SLC500, Control Logix 5000, and D/Net configuration. Highlight a proven track record as an Automation and Control Technician or in a comparable role. Possess a robust understanding of industrial communication protocols, including Modbus and Profibus. Showcase knowledge of HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design and implementation. Demonstrate experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Exhibit adaptability in dynamic work environments, showcasing your ability to thrive in change. Display meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in every aspect of your work. Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information. Showcase project management skills, encompassing Time, Scope, and Cost elements. Leverage excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address challenges swiftly.
