In your new role as Principal Engineering Airbus P2F, you will be primarily responsible for delivering and supervising Technical Services functions for the Airbus P2F fleet. This will include ownership and management of the aircraft maintenance program, aircraft reliability program, aircraft configuration and airworthiness compliance of the fleet. Furthermore, you will form and manage working relationships with interfacing P2F stakeholders and customers to ensure safe and reliable Airbus P2F operations. By utilising effective communication, problem solving and critical thinking, you will be able to effectively manage the Technical Performance of the Airbus P2F fleet, thus translating into end user satisfaction. The Airbus P2F fleet is a vital backbone for the Qantas Freight network operated by Express Freighters Australia and this role presents an opportunity within a dynamic, challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical or equivalent, as recognised by Engineers Australia Manage the engineering interface between Qantas Engineering and external stakeholders Function as the Point of Contact for all Airbus Fleet Technical Issues Ongoing management and ownership of the EFA Airbus Fleet Maintenance Program Provision of specialist professional engineering advice in relevant field Analyse defects and produce recommendations for reliability improvement initiatives Provide clear and concise task accomplishment instructions to ensure directed work is acquitted in a safe and compliant manner Investigate and provide solutions/mitigations to resolve mid to long term reliability issues to meet/exceed aircraft technical performance targets Provide engineering input into the assessment of engineering related delays and cancellations to understand the nature of technical issues and to drive aircraft/component reliability improvement Effectively manage and drive fleet management modification programs to ensure successful embodiment to improve aircraft technical performance Accuracy and high level of attention to detail Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines. A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships. Strong demonstrated skills in problem solving and analytical thinking, both individually and as part of a team. Proven organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely. Why Qantas?
