The role As part of our Maritime group, the ILS Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development of reliability, availability and maintainability models, logistics engineering and logistics analysis activities in support of ILS and system support design tasks. Further, the successful candidate will: Assist the ILS team in the conduct of logistics engineering and analysis tasks for acquisition and sustainment projects, as follows: Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) modelling and analysis Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) analysis Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) analysis Spares modelling and analysis Obsolescence management and analysis Packaging Handling Storage and Transport (PHS&T) analysis Item Codification Assist in preparation of ILS documentation and reports Assist in providing logistics engineering input into system engineering planning and hardware design and implementation Provide input into equipment maintenance manuals and training development Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system Perform other duties as assigned Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role. About you Your skills and experience will include: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, other relevant qualifications, or equivalent on the job experience. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications especially Access, Excel and Word Understanding of Systems Engineering principles Understanding of Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) modelling Understanding of statistical probability methods Understanding of the development and the inter-relation of Support System elements As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
