The role As part of our Maritime group, the Senior Logistics Engineer will be responsible for undertaking logistics engineering, supportability analysis, and obsolescence analysis activities in support of sustainment tasks. Further, the successful candidate will: Manage the Obsolescence Coordinator function. Undertake logistics engineering for sustainment projects. Liaise with OEMs to identify, analyse and recommend corrective actions for equipment obsolescence problems, including development of costed corrective action plans. Undertake life cycle cost analysis for sustainment projects. Review supplier and OEM generated ILS plans, logistics support data, technical manuals and other ILS documentation as required. Flexible work arrangements such as partial work from home/office, 9 day fortnight and part time (0.8 FTE minimum) will be considered for this role. About you Your skills and experience will include: Qualifications in Logistics Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent on the job experience. Defence industry experience and logistics practices and standards. Sound experience in logistics reliability and maintainability (R&M) engineering. COTS based logistics experience. Experience in LSA and R&M analysis tools. Experience in preparing ILS analyses, inputs and recommendations to obsolescence reports. As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
