We invite you to join us at Nickel West as we seek to energize our future Nickel West Kwinana Located 30 kilometres south of the Perth, the Nickel West Kwinana produces nickel briquettes and nickel powder. About the Role Competitive salary on offer plus 12% superannuation and a range of company benefits Family friendly roster Kwinana location, Monday - Friday Nickel West is positioned well to energise our future The Nickel West Laboratory at the Kwinana Refinery provides analytical services and quality control on all intermediate and end products. The Laboratory has five automated laboratory preparation & analysis modules including liquor processing, powder preparation, digestion and two analytical modules that are capable of analysing all existing plant samples and future samples at a frequency of every 2 hours. Additionally the Nickel Sulphate plant produces a bagged product via an automated bagging system, which is reliant on Siemens logic control and mechanical component's consistent operation. As a Senior Engineer Automation you will: Have an unwavering commitment to safety Analyse critical data to identify and implement optimisation/improvements to existing automated systems on site Lead at a senior level and participate in high value improvement projects Support our teams in providing guidance & advice to safely execute fault finding & implement solutions Design, develop and commission automation software for new applications Have a thorough understanding of functional safety and engineering software compliance About You Degree qualified in Engineering - Mechatronics Good understanding of industrial automation concepts, technologies, and best practices Focused on continual improvement & agility Enjoy working as part of a diverse team Proven problem solving skills Excellent communication skills Current Driver's License About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
