Data Engineer Sydney 6-month contract $1,050pd Inc Super (Pending Level) Role Overview: As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in continuously improving data platforms and building scalable data pipelines. Working closely with the Digital and Data team and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of data lake, warehouse, and master data management platforms. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain data lake, warehouse, and master data management platforms. Develop and maintain data ingestion, integration, and transformation processes to support data use cases. Create documentation and guidelines for data infrastructure and pipelines. Identify new opportunities to leverage data pipelines to increase organizational value. Successful implementation of master data management practices and tooling. Alignment of all changes to existing service management (ITSM) and information security practices. Key Requirements Solid experience in building data pipelines and integrations. Experience in cloud-based platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure. Experience using DevOps to deploy data pipelines, schemas, and transformations. Proficiency with Azure technologies: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks. Technical competency and experience working with SQL, Python, ETL, APIs, PowerBI, Profisee, or similar tooling for data integration, warehousing, master data management, and business intelligence. Good understanding of information security and data governance practices. Previous experience using metadata-driven frameworks desirable. Experience building REST APIs, preferably in .NET desirable.
