You will be part of the globally distributed Release Engineering team and will have the chance to participate in the continuous delivery infrastructure architecture design. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and integrating the initial development infrastructure, providing thought leadership and lateral thinking to establish processes and best practice methodologies for supporting continuous delivery. In addition, this position will fully engage (hands on) in the day to day infrastructure building related activities, gaining the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies. Primary job responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead the design and implementation of build, test, release and deployment infrastructure environment with a focus on orchestrating system provisioning, deployment, scaling and monitoring Develops strategies to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application Document, maintain, and share systems architecture diagrams, standards, best practices, standard operating procedures, provisioning, and configuration Agile/Scrum Participate in Agile SCRUM activities such as daily standup, sprint planning and retrospective meetings Employ continuous delivery patterns and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service Mentoring Participate in the team building effort Provide guidance to junior staff member in all areas of release engineering Ability to delegate technical execution or responsibilities to junior staff member Required skills Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field 5 years of experience in systems management or software development with an eagerness to automate wherever and whenever the possibility arises Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope the design & development work ● Demonstrated success in leading teams and accomplishing goals Professional skill level in the following technologies: Solid understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment principles Highly skilled in writing automation scripts in a variety of languages such as Python and Bash Experience with Cloud Technologies such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, VMWare Hands on expertise with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack Mastery of Jenkins Continuous Integration tool Proactive Systems Engineer involved in the wider community, open source projects, etc would be highly regarded Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team members dispersed across multiple countries and time zones Familiarity with different project management methodologies, tools, and defect tracking systems Experience working in a cross-functional, multi-cultural collaborative environment ● Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ref ID: 49061 Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU Business Unit: PCCW Global Full Time/ Part Time: Full Time Job Function: Technology Featured Job Category::
