Our Resource Engineering (Mining and Energy) team continues to work on a steady pipeline of exciting and innovative projects and are currently seeking an Instrumentation and Controls System Engineer to complement their dedicated Electrical, Instrumentation & Control team. The team you will join is a technical leader in the Mining and Energy sectors, with unparalleled access to industry shaping projects due to the diversity of GHD and our panel contracts with Tier 1 client organisations. Your projects will include: Process and NPI within many commodities such as iron ore, gold, lithium and bauxite. Future Energy and Renewables projects including wind, solar, hydrogen and power transmission. In order to be successful in this role you will demonstrate capability in the following areas: Excellent written and verbal communication skills At least 3 to 7 years experience in control systems design in the mining and oil gas industries. Some experience in software programming, FAT, SAT and project handover is desirable Experience in preparing Control System Functional Specifications and Functional Descriptions (Control Philosophies) Experience in industrial communications especially network protocols, network design including fibre-optics, preparing network and FOBOT interconnection diagrams, block diagrams etc Experience in preparing Equipment Data Sheets for instruments, valves, communications equipment Previous site-based experience is highly desirable Excellent team player who can work under limited supervision and who has the drive to learn complex systems in an ongoing basis Degree qualified in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control engineering with eligibility for membership with Engineer's Australia at a professional engineer level Please note, we have an office shutdown period from Monday 25th December 2023 - Friday 5th January 2024, reopening Monday 8th January 2024.
