Senior Development Engineer This brand new position will take a leading role to drive the exciting design and development stage of novel radiopharmaceutical product development. As the Senior Development Engineer you will be responsible for applying your engineering skills and commercial knowledge to successfully transition products from the research phase into manufacturing. Who will you be working with? Our Client is a clinical stage radiopharmaceutical company developing treatments to significantly improve survival and quality of life for patients with cancer. At their new flagship site in Brisbane, they are growing their teams in alignment with the exciting progression of their novel technologies. The growing Engineering team relies on 3 key sections – Research, Development and Manufacturing. As the Senior Development Engineer you will formulate the approach to the development of radiopharmaceutical products and processing systems. Key tasks of this role include: Manage design documentation and traceability Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop the prototype to a pilot design Integrate control systems using INSEVIS S7 PLCs, and program HMIs Perform system dFMEA and with the DRTM Iterative prototyping of the novel hardware device What do you need? Our ideal candidate will have a passion for medical or life science engineering who can drive development from prototype to production leading to commercialisation of life saving radiopharmaceutical products. We are seeking someone who has experience applying engineering principles with strong design control and product development life cycle expertise. Other key requirements of this role include: A Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design or other relevant discipline 5 years or more in a design and development role with a strong emphasis on CAD design and development, ideally within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry Knowledge or experience in product development under ISO 13485 would be highly regarded Sound understanding of GMP regulatory requirements Proven experience building, testing and troubleshooting electromechanical process control systems Eagerness to be an effective team member of a diverse, inclusive, multi-cultural team environment and strong communication skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
